Me?
I converted from religious Judaism to Biblical Judaism back in the 80's. The Lord was pleased to save me and sent me to Dr. Walter Martin's Bible class to begin my tour of apologetics training. A few years after Walter died, I worked for CRI. I left CRI after seeing the ministry had been hijacked by marketing manipulation and is so to this day. :(
In my walk I have continued to see and experience false teaching creep in from the enemies of the Gospel, both foreign and domestic. The on-going attempt to add works to grace, creating a hy-brid gospel which cannot save. The real sadness is the numbness, the callous, uncaring and yet, ecumenical attitudes. A self help "works" gospel/program with an on-going abuse of the Scriptures by these so-called "pastors" and "pastorettes" on TV/radio and in print form.
Protestants are accepting men like N.T. Wright, Douglas Wilson and those involved with what is called "Federal Vision," the "New Perspectives on Paul" and the "Auburn Avenue" heresies Even the many messianic Jews do not have a clue about the gospel and how a person is justified before the Lord. They seek only to sew up the curtian that once separated God and man. They continue to point men and women to Law and have neglected the gift of grace given through the gospel. Compromise is not biblical and is not practiced by the sheep of God. "My sheep hear my voice and the LISTEN" Liberalism leads to compromise and the Scriptures were not written by hippies. They were written by biblical Jews.
So, I describe myself as a person Judaizing Christianity. Salvation is from the Jews. Biblical Judaism is the bud to which Christianity is the flower. I try to pursuade Gentiles to understand the roots and shadows which help formed the foundations of Biblical Judaism as a whole. The Old Testament describes what can be called the scaffolding for the construction of the building. Once the building is complete we no longer need the scaffolding. We have the Messiah and we no longer need to keep Sabbath days or Festivals. As Paul said;
Colossians 2:9 For in him the whole fullness of God lives in bodily form. And you have been brought to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority. In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without human hands by stripping off the corrupt nature in the circumcision performed by Messiah. When you were buried with him in baptism, you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.
Even when you were dead because of your offenses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with him when he forgave us all of our offenses, having erased the charges that were brought against us with their decrees that were hostile to us. He took those charges away when he nailed them to the cross. And when he had disarmed the rulers and the authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross. Therefore, let no one judge you in matters of food and drink or with respect to a festival, a new moon, or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the reality belongs to Christ
